Spreading participatory governance in India

Last week our Network Coordinator Jens Kimmel joined the vidcast series Urban Insights, hosted by Jahashree Kurup from New Dehli, India.

Jahashree is one of the people that are bringing the conversation about participatory governance to India. We hope her project and vidcasts will foster that conversation and, eventually, also bring Consul Democracy to India 😉

From the episode of Urban Insights:
“Participative governance is essential for effective city management. The Consul Democracy project, initiated in Madrid, enables citizen participation through an open-source platform. It allows cities to engage residents in decision-making, budgeting, and policy formulation. The platform’s flexibility and scalability make it a valuable tool for enhancing democratic processes in urban areas.
