CONSUL wins WSIS Champion Award 2026

We are delighted to announce that CONSUL DEMOCRACY has been recognized as a WSIS Prizes 2026 Champion! Our director Simon Strohmenger will be going to Geneva on July 9th to receive the prize in person during the official WSIS award ceremony.

CONSUL DEMOCRACY took part in WSIS Prizes 2026 in the Category E-government, in which we finished among the top five most voted projects. Worldwide 2,2 million votes were cast, nominating 1000 projects in 18 categories. The official award ceremony of WSIS Prizes 2026 will take place on July 9th in Geneva, Switzerland.

The WSIS Prizes showcase how digital innovation delivers real, measurable impact for people and communities.’

WSIS (World Summit on the Information Society) is an UN initiatieve since 2003, aspiring to build ‘a people-centered, inclusive, and development-oriented Information Society.’ Every year they recognize impactful digital projects, with several actions lines including E-government.
