As a non-profit organization, we’re advancing participatory democracy with our open-source platform, Consul Democracy, used by over 200 cities and municipalities globally. From developing impactful citizen engagement tools to launching an AI-powered Civic Engagement Assistant, we’re on a mission to make democratic processes more accessible and inclusive. Your Role
As our Tech Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming citizen participation. From coordinating our AI assistant project to fostering our open-source community, you’ll play a central role in designing tools that help governments engage citizens meaningfully. Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee our technical roadmap in collaboration with our team.
Lead the development of our AI-powered Civic Engagement Assistant to improve citizen input analysis and inclusivity.
Foster and grow our open-source contributor community while representing us at tech and civic engagement conferences.
Provide strategic technical guidance to municipalities and partners. What We’re Looking For
Experience in software development or technical project management, ideally in open-source environments.
Proficiency in Ruby or similar technologies (Consul Democracy experience is a plus).
Enthusiasm for digital democracy and innovative civic tech.
Excellent English communication skills; Spanish and/or French is highly desirable.
